Billing, Refunds & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Short version: one-off digital products are final once delivered. Recurring services can be cancelled at any time and run to the end of the period you paid for. Domains are never refundable. Crypto refunds are paid in the same asset at the current rate, not the rate you paid.
1. What This Covers
This policy applies to every paid LexLab service: LexLabMTA and LexLab Relay SMTP, VPS and RDP hosting, domain registration, mailbox and email hosting, tools and website templates, marketplace items, SMM panel credit, and wallet top-ups. Where a service has its own terms at the point of sale, those apply on top of this page.
2. Billing Cycles and Renewals
- One-off purchases — tools, templates, marketplace items — are charged once, at checkout.
- Recurring services — SMTP relay, hosting, mailboxes — are charged in advance for each billing period. Your period length is shown on the plan and on your invoice.
- Renewal happens automatically at the start of each period unless you cancel first. We send a renewal reminder to your account email [PLACEHOLDER — days before renewal that a reminder is sent, e.g. 7 days] before the charge.
- Domains renew on the registry's cycle, not ours. See the Domain Registration Policy for expiry, grace, and redemption windows.
- Price changes take effect at your next renewal, never mid-period. We give you [PLACEHOLDER — notice period for price increases, e.g. 30 days] notice before a price increase applies to you.
3. Payment Methods
We accept cryptocurrency through NOWPayments and payment from your LexLab wallet balance. Service is provisioned once payment confirms on-chain, not when you send it.
4. Cryptocurrency Payments
Crypto behaves differently from card payments and the differences cause most billing disputes. Read this part.
- Confirmation delay. Your invoice is settled when the network confirms it, which can take minutes to hours depending on the chain and the fee you paid. Provisioning starts after confirmation.
- Rate lock. Each invoice quotes a crypto amount fixed for a short window. If you pay after the window expires, the amount received may no longer cover the invoice and the balance stays due.
- Underpayment. If you send less than the invoiced amount, the service is not provisioned. The received amount is credited to your LexLab wallet and you can top up the difference.
- Overpayment. Anything above the invoice total is credited to your wallet balance. We do not automatically return it on-chain.
- Wrong asset or wrong network. Sending an asset or using a chain the invoice did not specify may make the funds unrecoverable. We cannot guarantee recovery and may charge a recovery fee where recovery is possible.
- No chargebacks. Crypto payments are irreversible. There is no card issuer to dispute with, which is exactly why the refund terms below matter.
- Refund valuation. Approved refunds are returned in the same asset, valued at the market rate at the time the refund is issued, minus network fees. If the asset moved against you between payment and refund, you carry that difference. We do not refund in fiat and we do not top up to your original purchase value.
5. Refunds — What Is and Is Not Refundable
| Service | Refundable? | Terms |
|---|---|---|
| Tools, templates, digital downloads | Limited | Final once access or files have been delivered. Refundable only for a defect we cannot fix, requested within [PLACEHOLDER — window, e.g. 7 / 14 days] of purchase. |
| SMTP relay (LexLabMTA, Relay SMTP) | Limited | Refundable within [PLACEHOLDER — window, e.g. 48 hours] of provisioning if no mail has been sent and no dedicated IP has been assigned. After sending begins, no refund. |
| VPS / RDP hosting | Limited | Refundable within [PLACEHOLDER — window, e.g. 72 hours] of provisioning where the server has not been substantially used. Upstream setup costs already incurred are deducted. |
| Mailbox / email hosting | Limited | Same terms as SMTP relay. Not refundable once mailboxes have received mail. |
| Domain registration, renewal, transfer | No | Never refundable. Registry charges are non-reversible from the moment of registration, including on typos in the domain name. |
| Marketplace items (third-party) | Limited | Handled between you and the seller. We will mediate and may reverse a payment we still hold in escrow. |
| SMM panel orders | No | Not refundable once submitted to the upstream provider. Failed or partially delivered orders are credited to your wallet. |
| Wallet top-ups | No | Balance is usable across services but is not withdrawable to crypto or fiat. |
| Custom development / services | By agreement | Governed by the quote or statement of work agreed before the engagement starts. |
6. No Refund In These Cases
- You changed your mind, or the service was not what you assumed it was.
- The account was suspended or terminated under the Acceptable Use Policy. Violations forfeit any remaining balance and the rest of the paid period.
- Your sending domain or IP was blocklisted because of how you used it.
- You lost access through your own credential compromise, or through DNS or configuration changes you made.
- An upstream provider suspended the underlying service because of your content or conduct.
- Downtime that falls within the allowances of the Service Level Agreement, which is compensated in service credits rather than cash.
7. How to Request a Refund
Email support@lexlabtools.com or open a request from your dashboard. Include your order or invoice number, the service, and what went wrong.
- We respond within [PLACEHOLDER — refund response window, e.g. 3 business days].
- Approved refunds are issued within [PLACEHOLDER — processing time, e.g. 5–10 business days] of approval.
- Refunds go back to the wallet balance by default. On-chain returns are available on request and carry the network fee.
8. Cancellation
- Cancel any recurring service from your dashboard, or by emailing support@lexlabtools.com, at any time.
- Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not refund the current period — your service runs until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Cancel at least [PLACEHOLDER — required notice before renewal, e.g. 24 / 48 hours] before the renewal date. Cancellations after the charge has processed take effect from the following period.
- We do not prorate partial periods.
- Domains do not cancel — they run to their expiry date. Turning off auto-renew is how you stop a domain.
9. Non-Payment and Suspension
- An invoice that is not settled by its due date puts the service into arrears.
- After [PLACEHOLDER — grace period, e.g. 3 / 7 days] the service is suspended. Sending stops, servers power off, mailboxes stop receiving.
- Suspended services and their data are retained for [PLACEHOLDER — retention window, e.g. 14 / 30 days]. Settle the invoice within that window and the service is restored.
- After the retention window the service is terminated and the data is deleted and cannot be recovered, including VPS disks, mailbox contents, and stored configuration.
10. Your Data After Cancellation
When you cancel deliberately, take your data out before the period ends. After termination we keep it for [PLACEHOLDER — post-termination retention window, e.g. 14 / 30 days] and then delete it. Export requests during that window are honoured; after it, there is nothing left to export. Billing records and delivery logs are kept longer where law requires — see the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.
11. Consumer Rights
Nothing here removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country. Where a statutory right to cancel or refund applies and conflicts with this policy, the statutory right wins. For digital content delivered immediately, note that starting the download or provisioning generally waives the EU/UK 14-day withdrawal right — you consent to that at checkout.
12. Disputes
Raise billing disputes with support@lexlabtools.com first. Most are a misread invoice or a confirmation delay and get resolved the same day. Governing law and forum are set out in the Terms of Service.
13. Changes to This Policy
Material changes are announced by email to your account address and take effect at your next renewal, not retroactively. Corrections and clarifications take effect when posted.
